Habib Sharifi, French-Iranian poet and academic, music lover, died in March 2021. In partnership with the Gondishapour association, his family wished to create a scholarship in his name to encourage musical and poetic creation.
Selected by an interdisciplinary jury, the grant holders develop their project in an artistic summer residence in Paris, on the campus of the Cité Internationale Universitaire. After three months, they record their creation in the studio of the Petit Palais de Chaillot (in Drôme Provençale).
Each year, in March, they express their talent during a recital in front of a large audience in a beautiful Parisian hall.
La bourse Habib Sharifi sera dévoilée le 19 mars 2022 (19h-21h) lors d’un récital de piano à Paris
In April of each year, an international call for applications is launched to select scholarship recipients around a theme linked to a poem by Habib Sharifi (for the first year, for example, it will be “the green season”). Candidates will have to present the first axes of an interdisciplinary project combining music and poetry to illustrate the theme. They will be able to use music, photography, video, dance, painting … and will have to summarize the whole in a note of intent of a few pages.
The files will be studied by a jury made up of personalities representing the different artistic disciplines that may be solicited (musical, poetic, artistic, etc.) Each year, in March, they express their talent during a recital in front of a large audience in a beautiful Parisian room.
